Here we go....
The Process
Years of experience has taught us to use the best, most efficient process for creating quality, long lasting knives.
Here a glimpse of our inner workings.
We have to start from
The Beginning

We start with a piece of top-grade CPM-154 high-carbon steel bar stock in the desired thickness. What are the benefits of this type of stock:
Outstanding toughness
The fine, uniform carbide distribution from the CPM process gives it significantly better impact resistance and chip-resistance than conventional 154CM (often nearly double the toughness), making it more forgiving during hard use.
Edge Retention
It holds a working edge extremely well for everyday tasks, performing close to steels like CPM S35VN in many real-world scenarios (though not quite as high-wear as vanadium-heavy super steels).
Excellent corrosion resistance
With 14% chromium and 4% molybdenum, it offers solid stainless performance — reliably resistant to rust in normal EDC, kitchen, or outdoor environments (better than many older stainless steels like 440C).
Great overall balance
At typical hardness of 58-60 HRC (up to ~62-63 HRC possible), it hits a sweet spot, hard enough for edge stability, yet extremely durable.
Taking Shape

After transferring the knife pattern onto the CPM-154 high-carbon steel bar stock, we cut out the rough profile.
Developing the Blade

From there, the magic happens. We carefully grind away material to establish the bevels, refine the shape, and create the cutting edge geometry.
Once the basic blade shape is achieved, we move to finer sanding, heat treating (to harden the steel), and final polishing. The result is a clean, precise custom knife with excellent control over every detail — from blade geometry to handle fit.
